Argyle Community Housing Ltd. is a community managed Housing Association. The aim of the Company is to house people who are waiting for public housing.

The Company housing stock is located in the Local Government Areas of Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly, Wingecarribee, Goulburn, Yass, Young, Queanbeyan, Wagga Wagga & Griffith. Generally the households to whom the organisation responds, face issues such as homelessness, unemployment, high rents, family difficulties, domestic violence, legal and emotional problems.

The Administration Support Worker role is to provide professional administration and office support to the Young office.

Specific Tasks:

  • To carry out competently all facets of clerical and administrative duties supporting the Housing Manager
  • Generate Income Review Letters, attend to 2nd check, mail & file
  • Initiate relevant correspondence and legal procedures on rental arrears & non rent debts
  • Draw up leases for when time permits
  • Help prepare for CTTT hearings

Experience required:

Qualifications of a tertiary level are not essential. Most essential and desirable is practical experience in working with people of all ages, cultures and social standing, to establish a good rapport with the Community and to demonstrate an understanding of issues relevant to the client groups.

 

  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Competent computer skills (MS Office)
  • Experience in administration procedures & proven administration experience
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable

 

  • Knowledge of the Community Housing Sector
  • Knowledge of Local Community Agencies
