Due to an internal movement, we have a current opportunity for a Development Engineer or Technical Officer Contractor with our client, a regional Queensland Local Authority.

Primarily, your da ily duties will involve the provision and coordination of development approvals to the community, from an engineering perspective. This will entail construction and compliance work, provision and reviewing of engineering conditions, and assessment and approval of engineering plans. Liaison and negotiation with internal stakeholders, developers and the community will also be required.

Essential to your ability to undertake the work required will be significant experience within Local Government development assessment, preferably including recent / relevant experience with the Sustainable Planning Act. General previous experience with stormwater design and WSUD principles would also be useful.
