Our client, a global leader with a strong history embedded in food manufacturing, are currently seeking an experienced Injury Management Coordinator to play a key role in the delivery of their employee health, safety and well-being program.
The right person, answe ring to the Human Resources Manager, will be responsible for:
- Reducing Lost Time Injury impacts by maintaining control of injured employees via consultation and effective injury management strategies
- Co-ordinate injury management functions, including Soft Tissue Centre on-site treatment, and prepare rehabilitation plans
- Provide advice to managers, resources and team coordinators
- Prepare reports and develop policies and procedures
- Liaise with WorkCover and external health providers
- Coordinate employee assistance services
- Resolve common law matters and workers compensation issues
- Train and coach team members at all levels in rehabilitation and injury management
- Coordinate first aid room supplies and ensure first aid officers are adequately trained
- Help ensure MySafety reporting integrity is maintained
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships
- Sound knowledge of relevant H&S and Rehabilitation legislation and WorkCover processes
- Strong organisation, time management, administration and report-writing skills
- Experience in developing and implementing effective return-to-work programs
- Ability to effectively work with and utilise a range of health providers
