Legal Secretary/Admin Officer

    Hoeys Lawyers is a boutique law firm located in the Melbourne Central Business District.

    Our areas of expertise include building law, construction disputes, planning law, local government enforcement and the provision of complex legal advice.

    We require a secretary/admin officer to assist with our increasing work load.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Typing of correspondence and court documents by transcription
    • General administrative duties including mail, collection and delivery of DX items, photocopying, filing, arrangements for courier, attendance at courts, mail merge, assistance with administration of planning matters and updating manuals.
    • Reception duties
    • New and archived files and daily back-up
    • File maintenance

    The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A willingness to learn and an ability to work effectively within a team environment
    • Accurate typing speed 50+ wpm
    • Great attention to detail
    • A positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
