The Legal Branch at the Fair Work Ombudsman is one of the largest workplace relations legal practices in Australia. It is responsible for the provision of high level legal advice relating to Commonwealth workplace relations laws to internal stakeholders. The Group also has carriage of a significant litigation practice, commencing about 50 civil litigation proceedings each year. Most of these matters are run in-house and a few are with the assistance of external legal providers.
