Fleet Coordinator - Construction Industry

Well known Australian Manufacturer & Distributor of building and construction materials is seeking an experienced Fleet Coordinator to join their new site near Parramatta.

This busy role will see you facilitating all product allocations in real time and maximizing the utilisation of their large fleet of 25-30 vehicles in a safe yet cost effective manner.

You will also be involved with the following:

•Assist with any customer enquiries such as estimated time of arrival of their orders, investigate complaints received on delayed deliveries /damaged goods and capturing these requests on customer satisfaction report

•Encourage all drivers to comply with load restraints and assist with any queries

•Monitoring the movement of inventory around the country

•Liaising with the Fleet Controller to advise on any large transport deliveries of products to various clients around the country. You will also assist with coordinating fleet allocation of transport drivers in the absence of the Fleet Controller

•Perform weekly reporting on customer orders received, pallet returns etc

•Ad hoc duties as required

You will be required to work on a rotating roster from 5.00am – 5.00pm (8.5hr days) as well as every 2nd Saturday from 5.00am – 12noon. A full medical and psychometric test will be required in this role.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will:

• Have proven Australian experience in a similar Fleet Coordinator/ Allocator position within a Transport environment.

• Excellent time management & organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal

• Strong computer skills across Microsoft Systems
