We are currently partnered with one of Australia's premier FMCG Food Manufacturers. With a rich history within the FMCG industry, our client has grown from strength to strength and is now seen as the innovators in their field and pride themselves on providing the h ighest quality products and services available to the Australian and international markets.
Due to this growth, a rare opportunity has arisen for a seasoned and driven industry professional to join the business as an Operations Manager responsible for the continued growth of the Queensland business. Reporting to the General Manager of Logistics, you will be directly responsible for the management of the entire facility including production, maintenance, warehousing and administration to ensure optimum productivity, and increase operational efficiencies to exceed customer expectations.
Key to your success in this position will be you're in depth understanding of food manufacturing principles in relation to date sensitive products. This will give you the tools required to assess current processes and procedures and implement improvements to increase and streamline productivity. You will also have a sound background in Warehousing and Distribution, with experience in negotiating contracts with transport organizations and labour hire suppliers.
To be considered for this role you will possess:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership capabilities including training, mentoring and developing staff
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong understanding of OH&S legislation as well as QA systems and procedures
- Extensive experience in Logistics Management and Operations
Essentially you will have proven senior management experience within the FMCG/Food Manufacturing industry. You will possess exceptional leadership and communication skills, strong financial acumen and a sound understanding of business in relation to Forecasting, developing Budget's and P&L management. Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or Logistics would also be highly regarded.
