    We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT Support team based in Pyrmont, Sydney. 

    The Desktop Support team provides day to day support for Fairfax sites in NSW and is required to work in a time constrained environment to troubleshoot, escalate and communicate to key staff while managing customer expectations.

    The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

    • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent inter-personal skills including well developed oral and written communication skills.

    • Self-motivated.

    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

    • Ability to effectively manage issues in a time critical environment.

    • A thorough knowledge of PC computer hardware and software including Windows XP professional and knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, MS Exchange and Active Directory.

    • Working knowledge of networking software, hardware and transmission protocols.
