General Practitioner (GP) Women\'s Health

  • DWS Location
  • Exceptional Earning Potential
  • Accommodation / Relocation Support

We are currently seeking an experienced women's health GP with previous General Practice experience in a regional Australian town, to join a busy practice in one of the most sought after regional towns in WA. Boasting one of the world’s best beaches, and all the comforts of a large ci ty, this picturesque coastal location, offers more than first meets the eye.

The Location
This highly sought after regional town offers an endless summer and a wonderful blend of both a coastal and country lifestyle. The local airport has frequent local, interstate and international flights making this beautiful location easily accessible. Great schools, reasonably priced housing and endless outdoor pursuits, make this a popular choice for families and tourists in the summer.

The Practice
This modern, accredited and fully computerised practice is largely a private billing practice with a small percentage of bulk billing patients.
Privately owned and operated, 4 FRACGP GP’s currently work in the practice, as well as nursing and reception staff, and a practice manager. The clinic treats a broad range of clients’ right through the lifespan, and also conducts pre-employment medicals for local businesses.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday and the occasional Saturday morning. There is minimal on call. This busy practice has a supportive close knit team who have regular team meetings and actively support medical students’ and medical registrars through their training.

With the only female GP about to leave the practice, there is a huge demand for a women's health GP to cover a wide variety of women's health issues with local clients.

This is ideally a full time permanent opportunity, however, part time applicants can be accommodated.

The Package
With an existing client base, earning potential is high. It would be expected that an experienced GP would take home between $250,000 and $300,000 in the first year based on a full time commitment. Additionally, a vehicle and accommodation allowance, can be negotiated to facilitate a smooth transition.

Applicants who require 457 business sponsorship are also welcome to apply.

The Criteria
General Practitioners (GPs) who hold general AHPRA registration and have achieved, or are working toward their Fellowship, with either RACGP or ACRRM are preferred.

As you will work as the sole women's health GP within this busy practice, it is essential that you have recently worked in Australian General Practice and have a broad knowledge of women's health issues and the Medicare billing system.

Candidates who hold general registration and wish to sit their Fellowship exams are encouraged to apply and will be adequately supported.

This is an exciting opportunity not to be missed. Submit your CV now to find our more information on this, or other vacancies.
