    Accounting Industry Wages Record Rise Over 2008

    Accounting jobs and the accounting industry can be broken into two different categories, which are Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.

    Financial Management jobs are based on assisting companies for planning purposes while Financial Accounting jobs are more about auditing and reporting of external companies.

    Accounting jobs wages recorded a rise over 2008 with the national averages wages for the accounting industry climbing from $72,000 in January 2008 to $79,415 by December 2008.

    Within the Accounting industry there top five jobs earners were Company Secretary at national average wages of $134,656, Financial Controller and Directorship at national average wages at $106,835, Management jobs national average wages at $98,567, Systems Accounting with national average wages at $95,370 and Analysis and Planning jobs with their national average wages at $94,869.
