An opportunity has risen in a high profile government department developing policies that support Australian families.  This is a short term contract, starting immediately.

In this role you will be required to provide strategic communication advice to a rang e of external stakeholders and business areas within the Department. You will lead the team to develop communication strategies and also coordinate the design, print and delivery of communication products, online and activities.

We are looking for someone with strong project management and planning skills, the ability to think strategically and provide communication advice. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication strategies, hence extensive experience in writing, editing and producing information to various audiences will see you succeed in this position.

To ensure that you hit the ground running in this opportunity, you will hold strong verbal communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in public affairs, with a preference for experience in Government communications is highly desirable. Previous experience working within an Indigenous field would be an advantage.
