Community Liaison & Engagement Coordinator
Community Liaison & Engagement Coordinator South Western Melbourne Medicare Local (SWMML) is a newly established not-for-profit primary healthcare organisation, servicing the geographic regions of Hobsons Bay and Wyndham. It coordinates primary health care delivery and tackles local health care needs and service gaps. It works with general practice, allied health and community health care providers to drive improvements and greater integration in primary health care to ensure that services are better tailored to meet the needs of local communities.
SWMML is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to undertake the newly formed role of Community Liaison & Engagement Coordinator. Reporting to the General Manager – Planning & Service Development, the primary objective of the role is to engage productive and reciprocal relationships with community members, service providers, clients and key organisations in the region to assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of SWMML initiatives to ensure primary health and allied health services meet the needs of the region.
To be considered for the role, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar or related role with a track record in community and client engagement, ideally in the health and community services sector. Tertiary qualifications in community development, communications and marketing are an advantage. Initially, you will be engaged up to 30 June 2014 and beyond subject to funding arrangements.
