About your environment
Cancer Council Victoria has been leading the fight against cancer since 1936 by focussing on research, prevention, support and advocacy programs that deliver better outcomes for people affected by cancer.  The purpose of the Cancer Epidemiolog y Centre is to progress the cancer control objectives of Cancer Council by developing and maintaining high quality resources for epidemiological research and evaluation. The Centre currently runs a prostate cancer program which aims to identify genetic and lifestyle factors that influence why some men get more aggressive prostate cancer.

About your opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised Project Coordinator / Manager to join the Centre to lead a key component of the Lifestyle and Genetic Risk Factors for Prostate Cancer Study, external participant recruitment.  With the support of a Project Officer, you will work closely with treating hospitals and urology clinics to develop, implement and evaluate effective recruitment systems for each hospital and clinic to ensure high rates of participant enrolment to the study.  You will investigate ethics requirements at hospitals and clinics and prepare ethics applications as well as participating in Committee meetings and contributing and reporting on actions.

All about you
Tertiary qualified in a science or health related field, you will have demonstrated experience in project coordination / management in a research or health environment.  Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to engage with a range of stakeholders including scientists, researchers and clinicians.  You will also have sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret information from medical reports to identify patients meeting the study selection criteria. 

What we can offer you
This full-time fixed term position for 12 months provides a Total Equivalent Package Value within range $59,748 to $66,391pa (includes base salary, superannuation, annual leave loading and maximum benefit of salary packaging).
